JOB SUMMARY: The Communications Specialist supports a broad range of communication activities including working with stakeholdersacross the business to execute communication plans and strategies under the direction of the Communications and Training Manager. This role supports the effective flow of communication between the business, its customers, and employees through the management of communication channels, platforms, and short- and long-term communication plans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Implement effective communication strategies and plans for a wide range of projects and initiatives tailored for internal and external audiences.
• Develop content and strategies for the company’s intranet, extranet, website, marketing materials, and social media.

• Assess and measure the effectiveness of the business’s internal and external communication channels, platforms, and messages and adjust strategy as appropriate. 

• Working with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts, coordinate and source content of interest to staff and customers for intranet and extranet. Ensure content on platforms is kept current and processes are followed. 

• Suggest promotional campaign ideas to drive business goals leveraging various mediums including print, digital, video, and web. 

• Support leadership and departments in drafting and editing content as needed for internal and external audiences. 

• Manage the company’s website and social media presence and monitor analytics.
